Psychotherapy & Art Therapy

I offer a space that will help to support you with difficult elements of your life and develop awareness around the way you think, feel and do, and why.  My approach focusses on developing a trusting relationship and a safe place where you can process emotions, heal and find new solutions, using the arts as a means of expression and communication when words are not enough.

My ‘Integrative’ training means that I draw from a broad base of psychoanalytic, humanist and neurobiological theory to shape the way we work together.

Why Art? Throughout time the arts have expressed and communicated thoughts, fantasies and feelings, leaving them open for exploration.  Engaging in art-making and creative activities, whilst not essential in the sessions, can help to engage with difficult and deep-rooted issues for which sometimes there are no words.  I also believe our bodies are key to our sense of wellbeing and I aim to help you to develop ways in which your body and breathing can further support you.
